LATOICHA ANDINO- AQUINO

Latoicha Andino-Aquino is the founding member of the firm The IPLAW101 Firm. 

Mrs. Andino-Aquino brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the firm.  She has successfully defended and protected intellectual property rights of individuals, small business owners, and corporations.  Her practice focuses on trademark and copyright clearance, registration and prosecution; domain name management; the negotiation and drafting of licensing, rights clearances, distribution, and user agreements in the following industries:  Internet, New Media, Multimedia, Apparel, Film, Sound recordings, and Art.  Mrs. Andino-Aquino is also an expert in legal issues in New Media technologies.  She counsels clients on Intellectual Property, product endorsement, advertising, privacy and security issues in New Media platforms, i.e, social networks, blogs, websites, and mobile devices.  She is also adept at drafting privacy and social media policies and terms of service agreements that adequately address new and evolving issues in New Media.
 
Mrs. Andino-Aquino is a Legal Contributor for Black Web 2.0. where she provides weekly legal articles addressing various legal issues in New Media and the Internet.  She is also a member and legal contributor for Brand Protection Council. The Brand Protection Council is the leading international organization for Brand Protection Professionals.  Mrs. Andino-Aquino is also a frequent speaker on Intellectual Property matters and legal issues in New media.  She has been a featured speaker at Blogher, Blogalicous, The Inventors Association of Georgia, Dekalb County, GA Small Business Development Conference, and Miller Brewing Company’s Entrepreneur Series.  She has also been a frequent guest on BlogTalkRadio discussing intellectual property protection and defamation. Mrs. Andino-Aquino also is the Founder and Editor-In-Chief of the legal blog, www.IPLAW101.com/blog. There she provides practical tips for individuals and small businesses in solving basic intellectual property issues. Mrs. Andino-Aquino was featured in the Atlanta Tribune Magazine where she was recognized for her commitment to educating individuals on effective business development. She was also featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as a nominee for the Atlanta Business League’s Super Tuesday Awards, in the category, Success Against the Odds.  Recently, Mrs. Andino-Aquino was featured in the 2006 and 2007 Edition of Who’s Who in Black Atlanta.  She previously served on the Board of The Witness Project of Greater Atlanta, a non-profit dedicated to educating women on Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness.

Mrs. Andino-Aquino received her B.A. in English and Political Science with Honors from Florida A&M University.  She received her law degree from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.
